Meeting held at Kyleakin School on 21/6/10

Matters arising from minutes

 

Janice would like to say on behalf of the band a big thank-you to the four hardy folk who marshalled at the Caledonian Challenge. £400 was raised for band funds.

 

Outfits- Teens is planning to take Morgan, Ross and Colin over to Lochcarron to be measured for jackets. They still need sporrans, socks and to be measured for Glengarry’s.

 

Fraser McIntosh- still no word

 

Niall will order drums for the start of next session.

 

Treasurer’s report

 

£13, 300.51 in account.

Bag covers have been purchased

 

£200 + to be paid in this week from Whist Drives.

 

Summer Events

 

Sat 3^rd July - Flower Show in Lochcarron  

                      Band meeting at 11am then to Kyle Lifeboat Station for 2pm

Sat 24^th July-Shiel Gala

Sat 7^th Aug- Kyleakin Gala

Fri 27^th Aug - Kyleakin- Blazin Fiddles concert tbc

 

Sandy will put up meet-o-matic for members to indicate whether they can play.

 

It was decided not to perform at Lochcarron Games this year.

Donald will find out if there is any storage place for band equipment in Kyleakin.

 

Niall said that as the junior pipers have learnt all their tunes now they can join the older group for the one practice session next term. Niall will send out an email to members so they can indicate their preference as to the times.
